Dow Futures Opening Update as on 03 august 2017

U.S. stock futures are lower in pre-market trading for Thursday, August 03.The Dow Futures are trading at 21,943.50 with a loss of -0.06% percent or -13.50 point.The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,471.25 with a loss of -0.09% percent or -2.25 point.The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 5,914.62 for up with +0.07% percent or +3.87 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere,  Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 20,029.26 with a loss of –0.25% percent or –50.78 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 27,541.99  with a loss of –0.24% percent or –65.39 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,269.79 with a loss of –0.46% percent or –15.27 point. India’s S&P BSE Sensex are trading at 32,329.39 with a loss of –0.45% percent or –147.35 point at 12:15 PM . In Europe, the FTSE 100 are trading at 7,455.51 for up with  +0.59% percent or  +44.08 point. Germany’s DAX are trading at 12,155.54 with a loss of –0.21% percent or –25.94 point. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,127.78 for up with +0.40% percent or +20.53 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 are trading at 378.73 for up with  +0.02% percent or  +0.06 point.

Thursday’s Factors and Events

U.S. stock index futures pointed to a flat open on Thursday, a day after the Dow Jones industrial average broke the 22,000 milestone for the first time ever.

Dow futures slipped 7 points, while S&P and Nasdaq futures traded 1.5 points lower and 4.25 points higher, respectively.

The 30-stock index was propelled above 22,000 largely by Apple, which had reported strong quarterly results.

 Investors will once again focus on earnings after Tesla posted better-than-expected results. The stock shot up 6 percent on the news.
