U.S. Market Futures Pointing Higher to Start the Week

U.S. stock futures are pointing higher in pre-market trading for Tuesday, September 6. Tuesday will be the first trading day of the week after the market was closed Monday for the Labor Day holiday. The Dow Futures are at 18496.0 for a gain of 16.00. The S&P 500 Futures are at 2180.0 for a gain of 2.00 points. The Nasdaq Futures are at 4799.5 for a gain of 4.25 points. The Russell Futures are at 1252.3 for a gain of 0.90 points.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is at 17081.98 for a gain of 44.35 points or 0.26 percent. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index is at 23787.68 for a gain of 138.13 points or 0.58 percent. China’s Shanghai Composite is at 3090.71 for a gain of 18.62 points or 0.61 percent. India’s S&P BSE Sensex is at 28978.02 for a gain of 445.91 points or 1.56 percent. In Europe, the FTSE 100 is at 6860.05 for a loss of -19.37 points or -0.28 percent. Germany’s DAX is at 10697.08 for a gain of 24.86 points or 0.23 percent. France’s CAC 40 is at 4543.65 for a gain of 2.57 points or 0.06 percent. The Stoxx Europe 600 is at 350.60 for a loss of -0.02 points or -0.01 percent.
