Dow Futures Opening Update as on 13 November 2017

U.S. stock futures are lower in pre-market trading for Monday, November 13. The Dow Futures are trading at 23,338.50 with a loss of  -0.19% percent or -46.00 point.The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,575.25 with a loss of -0.16% percent or -4.25 point. The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 6,301.00 with a loss of -0.13% percent or -8.25 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 22,380.99 with  a loss of –1.32% percent or –300.43 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 29,234.33 for up with +0.39% percent or  +113.41 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,447.84 for up with +0.44% percent or +15.16 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 33,231.16 with a loss of –0.26% percent or –85.05 point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 are trading at 7,440.90 for up with +0.11% percent or +7.91 point. Germany’s DAX are trading at 13,048.42 with a loss of  –0.60% percent or –79.05 point. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,351.12 with a loss of – 0.55% percent or –29.60 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 are trading at 386.57 with a loss of -0.55% percent or -2.12 point.

Monday’s Factors and Events

U.S. stock index futures pointed to a relatively weak open Monday, as investors continued to wade through another batch of earnings, while keeping an eye on news surrounding the tax situation in the U.S.

Earnings are set to again roll in this week, with the first trading day of the week expecting financial reports from the likes of JD.com, 58.com, and Tyson Foods to report before the bell. Switch is set to release earnings after the bell.

On the data front, the monthly treasury statement is due to be released at 2 p.m. ET.

 Looking to the political space, U.S. President Donald Trump is in the Philippines on Monday as part of his ongoing trip in Asia.
