U.S. stock futures are higher in pre-market trading for Tuesday, June 06. The Dow Futures are trading at 21,128.00 with a loss of -0.23% percent or -48.00 point . The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,428.25 with a loss of -0.26% percent or -6.25 point. The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 5,867.88 with a loss of -0.22% percent or -13.13 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere,Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 19,979.90 with a loss of – 0.95% percent or –190.92 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 25,997.14  for up with  +0.52% percent or +134.15 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,102.13 for up with +0.34% percent or +10.47 point. India’s S&P BSE Sensex are trading at 31,190.56  with a loss of –0.38% percent or –118.93 point. In Europe, the FTSE 100 are trading at 7,514.87 with a loss of –0.15% percent or –11.21 point. Germany’s DAX are trading at 12,713.15  with  a loss of  –0.86% percent or –109.79 point. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,273.15 with a loss of –0.65% percent or –34.74 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 are trading at 389.67 with a loss of -0.60% percent or -2.34 point.

Tuesday’s Factors and Events

The economic calendar is relatively quiet on Tuesday, while the Labor Department’s job openings and labor turnover in April is much awaited. The geopolitical tensions around Qatar and its probable impacts on oil prices are much discussed among the traders. Asian shares closed broadly down, while European shares are trading in the red. Initial trading in the U.S. Futures Index suggest that Wall Street might open broadly lower.

As of 6.45 am ET, the Dow futures were down 33 points, the S&P 500 futures were shedding 4.00 points and the Nasdaq 100 futures were slipping 4.75 points.

Australian shares fell sharply as the Reserve Bank kept interest rates on hold. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 dropped 87.40 points or 1.52 percent to 5,667.50 while the broader All Ordinaries index ended down 84 points or 1.45 percent at 5,708.10.

European shares are trading in the red. The CAC 40 of France is declining 22.15 points or 0.42 percent. The DAX of Germany is loosing 86.79 points or 0.68 percent. FTSE 100 of England is down 1.36 points or 0.02 percent. Swiss Market Index is falling 78.53 points or 0.87 percent.

Euro Stoxx 50 that provides a Blue-chip representation of supersector leaders in the Eurozone is declining 0.42 percent.
