U.S. stock futures are lower in pre-market trading for Monday, August 14.The Dow Futures are trading at 21,942.00 for up with +0.41% percent or +94.00 point.The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,453.00 for up with +0.53% percent or +13.25 point.The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 5,868.25 for up with +0.51% percent or +30.00 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 19,537.10 with a loss of –0.98% percent or –192.64 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 27,215.23 for up with   +1.23% percent or  +331.72 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,236.77 for up with   +0.88% percent or  +28.23 point. India’s S&P BSE Sensex are trading at 31,466.43 for up with  +0.81% percent or +252.84 point at 12:15 PM. In Europe, the FTSE 100 are trading at 7,351.05 for up with  +0.56% percent or +41.09 point. Germany’s DAX are trading at 12,133.85 for up with  +1.00% percent or +119.79 point. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,108.32 for up with   +0.94% percent or +47.41 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 are trading at 375.25 for up with  +0.84% percent or  +3.11 point.

Monday’s Factors and Events

U.S. stock index futures pointed to a strong open on Monday boosted by a solid performance seen from international markets as geopolitical tensions ease.

Dow Jones industrial average futures rose 88 points, while S&P 500 futures jumped 12.75 points. Nasdaq 100 futures advanced 28.50 points as shares of Amazon, Tesla and Alphabet all rose in premarket trading.

Meanwhile, investors dumped safe-haven asset gold, as futures for December delivery fell 0.6 percent to 1,286.30 per ounce after hitting a two-month high last week.
