Dow Futures Opening Update as on 18 august 2017

U.S. stock futures are lower in pre-market trading for Friday, August 18.The Dow Futures are trading at 21,742.00 for up with +0.04% percent or +9.00 point. The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,431.88 with a loss of -0.24% percent or –1.24% point.The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 5,818.25 for up with +0.31% percent or +18.00 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 19,470.41 with a loss of –1.18% percent or –232.22 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 27,047.57 with a loss of –1.08% percent or –296.65 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 27,047.57 with a loss of  –1.08% percent or – 296.65 point. India’s S&P BSE Sensex are trading at 31,524.68  with a loss of –0.85% percent or –270.78 point at 12:15 PM . In Europe, the FTSE 100 are trading at 7,320.76 with a loss of-0.91% percent or –67.11 point. Germany’s DAX are trading at 12,161.29 with a loss of –0.35% percent or –42.17 point. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,099.59 with a loss of –0.92%% percent or –47.26 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 are trading at 374.15 with a loss of -0.72% percent or -2.72 point.

Friday’s Factors and Events

Sticking with the U.S. central bank, two Fed officials are set to speak on Thursday. Dallas Fed President Robert Kaplan is expected to be in Texas, meanwhile Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari will be at a Edina Rotary Club event in Minnesota.
U.S. President Donald Trump has disbanded two corporate advisory councils in the wake of receiving backlash from his statements surrounding the white supremacist rally seen in Virginia over the past weekend.
