Dow Futures Opening Update as on 22 august 2017

U.S. stock futures are lower in pre-market trading for Tuesday, August 22.The Dow Futures are trading at 21,703.80 for up with +0.13% percent or +29.24 point. The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 21,730.00 for up with +0.18% percent or +38.00 point.The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 6,213.13 with a loss of -0.05% percent or -3.40 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 19,388.37 with a loss of –0.02% percent or –4.76 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 27,458.23 for up with +1.12% percent or +303.55 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,290.88 for up with +0.12% percent or +3.97 point. India’s S&P BSE Sensex are trading at 31,353.59 for up with   +0.30% percent or  +94.74 point at 12:15 PM . In Europe, the FTSE 100 are trading at 7,366.81 for up with +0.65% percent or +47.93 point. Germany’s DAX are trading at 12,155.31 for up with  +0.74% percent or +89.32 point. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,114.20 for up with  +0.52% percent or +26.61 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 are trading at 373.98 for up with   +0.49% percent or +1.83 point.

Tuesday’s Factors and Events

U.S. Treasury yields rose on Tuesday, as investors turned their attention to upcoming data ahead of a meeting of central bankers due later on this week.

The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note traded at 2.21 percent at 8:08 a.m. ET, while the yield on the 30-year Treasury bond was higher at 2.783 percent. Bond yields move inversely to prices.

On the data front, the Philadelphia Fed non-manufacturing business outlook survey is set to be released at 8:30 a.m. ET, followed by the FHFA House Price Index and the Richmond Fed Manufacturing Survey, due at 9 a.m. ET and 10 a.m. ET respectively.

For the day The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 21,674.51 with a loss of –0.35% percent or –76.22 point.The S&P 500 closed at 2,425.55 with a loss of –0.18% percent or –4.46 point.The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,216.53 with a loss of –0.09% percent or –5.39 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,356.90 with a loss of -0.07% percent or -0.89 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 817.25 with a loss of –0.14% percent or –1.13 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,691.67 with a loss of –0.04% percent or –0.63 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,074.72 for up with +0.11% percent or +1.20 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,432.90 for up with  +0.10% percent or  +1.38 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,344.15 for up with  +0.11% percent or  +1.47 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 21,703.75 for up with  +0.13% percent or +29.24 point.
