Dow Futures Opening Update as on 30 November 2017

U.S. stock futures are higher in pre-market trading for Thursday, November 30. The Dow Futures are trading at 24,014.00 for up  with +0.40 percent or +93.50 point. The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,633.75 for up with +0.33% percent or +8.75 point.The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 6,327.88 for up with +0.35% percent or +22.38 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 22,724.96 for up with +0.57% percent or  +127.76 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 29,239.85 with a loss of –1.30% percent or  –383.98 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,317.19 with a loss of –0.62% percent or –20.67 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 33,319.22 with a loss of  –0.84% percent or –283.54 point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 are trading at 7,409.6for up with +0.22% percent or +16.05 point. Germany’s DAX are trading at 13,162.39 for up with +0.77% percent or +100.22 point. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,423.66 for up with +0.47% percent or +25.61 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 are trading at 389.98 for up with +0.52% percent or  +2.02 point.

Thursday’s Factors and Events

The Dow Jones industrial average closed at an all-time high on Thursday as investors bet the U.S. economy’s momentum would continue.

The U.S. economy has picked up steam this year, growing at an annualized rate of more than 3 percent each of the past two quarters.

“There’s a lot of momentum” in the U.S. economy and that’s being reflected in stocks, said Randy Frederick, vice president of trading and derivatives at Charles Schwab. “I can’t think of anything other than a black-swan event that would derail it.”

U.S. market were mixed on Wednesday. For the day the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 23,940.68 for up with +0.44% percent or +103.97 point. The S&P 500 closed at 2,626.07 with a loss of –0.04% percent or –0.97 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,824.39  with a loss of –1.27% percent or –87.97 point.
