Dow Futures Opening Update as on 10 May 2018

U.S. stock futures higher in pre-market trading for Thursday, May 10.The Dow Futures is trading at 24,527.00 up with +0.10% percent or +24.00 point. The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,699.75 up with +0.14% percent or +3.75 point.The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 6,908.50 up with +0.18% percent or +12.50 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere,Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 22,497.18 up with +0.39% percent or +88.30 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 30,842.11 up  with +1.00% percent or +305.97 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,174.26 up  with +0.48% percent or +15.11 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 35,338.00 up with 0.058% percent or +20.41  point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 is trading at 7,671.77 up with +0.12% percent or +9.43 point. Germany’s DAX is trading at 12,990.74 up with +0.37% percent or +47.68 point. France’s CAC 40 is trading at 5,535.98 up with +0.025% percent or +1.36 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 is trading at 392.31 with a loss of  -0.03% percent or  -0.09 point.

Thursday’s Factors and Events

The moves in pre-market trade came after U.S. stocks finished the previous session in the black. Stocks had been on the rise following a strong uptick in crude futures.

 Oil prices have been on the rise since Tuesday, when the U.S. announced that it would be withdrawing from the Iran nuclear accord set in place in 2015. Prices have continued to extend gains Thursday, with Brent hovering around $77.75 per barrel and U.S. crude around $71.65 during morning trade. U.S. allies in Europe have been trying to salvage the Iran deal, and preserve their trade relations with Tehran.

U.S. market were higher on Wednesday.For the day the Dow is trading at 24,542.54 up with +0.75% percent or +182.33 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,697.79 up with +0.97% percent or +25.87 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,339.91 up  with  +1.00% percent or +73.00 point.
