Dow Futures Opening Update as on 15 February 2019

U.S. stock futures higher  in pre-market trading for , February 15.The Dow Futures is trading at 25,466.50 up with +0.16% percent or +39.50 point.  The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,747.62 up with +0.15% percent or +4.12 point.The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 7,031.75 up with +0.17% percent or +12.00 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 20,900.63 with a loss of -1.13% percent or -239.08 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 27,916.63   with a loss of -1.81% percent or -515.42 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,682.38  with a loss of -1.37% percent or -37.31 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 35,537.80 with a loss of -0.94% percent or -338.42 point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 is trading at 7,226.91 up with  +0.42% percent or +29.90 point. Germany’s DAX is trading at 11,190.75 up with +0.91% percent or +100.96 point. France’s CAC 40 is trading at 5,117.12 up with +1.08% percent or +54.60 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 is trading at 366.24 up with +0.67% percent or +2.32 point.

Friday’s Factors and Events

Politics remains the focus after the White House said Thursday that President Trump is signing legislation that prevents a government shutdown, while also declaring a national emergency to try to build a wall on the border with Mexico.

Trump is due to speak in the White House Rose Garden at 10 a.m. ET on what the White House called the “national security and humanitarian crisis on our southern border.”

On the earnings front Allianz, Deere and PepsiCo are among the major companies expected to report their latest quarterly results before the opening bell.
