Dow Futures Opening Update as on 09 July 2019

U.S. stock futures lower in pre-market trading for , July 09 The Dow Futures is trading at 26,696.50  with a loss of -0.36% percent or -96.50 point. The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,967.62  with a loss of -0.37% percent or -10.88 point.The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 7,814.12   with a loss of -0.50% percent or -38.88 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 21,565.15 up with +0.14% percent or +30.80 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 28,120.78 with a loss of -0.74% percent or -210.91 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,928.23  with a loss of -0.18% percent or -5.13 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 38,699.99  with a loss of -0.053% percent or -20.40 point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 is trading at 7,546.66 with a loss of -0.035% percent or -2.61 point. Germany’s DAX is trading at 12,430.47  with a loss of -0.90% percent or -113.04 point. France’s CAC 40 is trading at 5,574.17 with a loss of -0.27% percent or -15.02 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 is trading at 387.80  with a loss of -0.54% percent or -2.10 point.

Tuesday’s Factors and Events

Market participants are likely to closely monitor a flurry of speeches from policymakers at the U.S. central bank, with Fed Chair Jerome Powell, Vice Chair Randal Quarles and Atlanta Fed President Raphael Bostic all set to comment on the world’s largest economy.

Investors have rushed to scale back Fed rate cut expectations following unexpectedly strong gains in U.S. jobs in June.

On the data front, the NFIB survey for June is scheduled to be released at around 6:00 a.m. ET, with JOLTS — a measure of job opportunities and labor turnover — set to follow slightly later in the session.
