Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 25,281.30 with a loss of -2.10% percent or -543.42 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,797.26  with a loss of -0.63% percent or -17.73 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 37,308.37  with a loss of -0.73% percent or -273.54 point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 is trading at 7,182.93  with a loss of -0.61% percent or -43.79 point. Tuesday’s Factors and Events

The widely watched 2-year to 10-year yield spread narrowed to only 4.68 basis points on Tuesday, with the curve at its flattest level since 2007. The yields on the 30-year note also fell to a low of 2.11%.

The Labor Department’s inflation report, the key consume price for July, is set to come out at 8:30 a.m. ET, which could determine the direction of the yield curve.
