U.S. stock  lower in pre-market trading for,March 12.The Dow Futures is trading at 22,369.00  with a loss of -5.12% percent or -1,206.00 point.The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,606.75 with a loss of -4.87% percent or –133.50 point.The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 7,612.50 with a loss of -4.89% percent or –391.00 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere,In other parts of world, In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 18,559.63 with a loss of –4.41% percent or –856.43 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 24,290.68 with a loss of –3.73% percent or –940.93 point. China’s Shanghai  Composite is trading at 2,923.49 with a loss of –1.52% percent or –45.03  point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 33,409.94 with a loss of –6.41% percent or –2,287.46  point at 12:15 PM.Germany’s DAX is trading at 9,859.55  with a loss of –5.55% percent or ?579.13 point. France’s CAC 40 is trading at 4,360.06 with a loss of –5.43% percent or –250.18 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 is trading at 314.05 with a loss of –5.74% percent or -19.12   point.

Thursday’s Factors and Events

Markets were looking for reassurances from the U.S. government that it would be at the ready with a quick fiscal stimulus package to bolster the economy from the coronovirus epidemic.

However, U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said Today a robust economic stimulus won’t be able to pass Congress quickly and he threw the Trump administration’s support behind a smaller measure designed to help small businesses and workers grappling with the coronavirus outbreak.

For the day the Dow is trading at 23,553.22  with a loss of –5.86% percent or –1,464.94  point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,741.38 with a loss of –4.89% percent or –140.85 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,952.05 with a loss of –4.70% percent or –392.20  point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,264.30  with a loss of -6.41% percent or –86.60 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 757.53  with a loss of -6.02% percent or -48.50 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,584.67  with a loss of –6.60% percent or -112.00 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,238.84  with a loss of –4.74% percent or -61.65 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,589.49 with a loss of –5.08% percent or –85.08  point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,509.00  with a loss of –5.00% or -79.36 point.
