Dow Futures Opening Update as on 29 April. 2020

U.S. stock  higher in pre-market trading for,April 29.The Dow Futures is trading at 24,192.00 up with +0.61%percent or +147.00 point.The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,883.62 up with +0.57% percent or +16.37 point.The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 8,777.25 up with +0.66% percent or +57.50 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 19,771.19 with a loss of –0.061% percent or –12.03   point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 24,595.75 up with +0.081% percent or +19.79  point. China’s Shanghai  Composite is trading at 2,817.64 up with +0.27% percent or +7.62 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 32,468.68 up with +1.10% percent or +354.16  point at 12:15 PM.Germany’s DAX is trading at 10,816.76 with 0.20% percent or +21.13 point. France’s CAC 40 is trading at 4,562.11 with a loss of –0.17% percent or –7.68 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 is trading at 340.86 with a loss of -0.067% percent or –0.23  point.

Wednesday’s Factors and Events

All eyes will be on the Fed’s monetary policy decision at 2 p.m. ET Wednesday. Investors will look to the central bank’s statement and chairman Jerome Powell’s virtual press conference for clues about how long interest rates will stay near zero as the economy seeks to emerge from coronavirus crisis.

“It doesn’t look like the Fed will raise interest rates beyond 0% until well-past the pandemic, which we think might be around 2023,” said Jim Caron, head of global macro strategies at Morgan Stanley Investment Management. “The market is pricing a recovery that starts in Q3, but there’s wide variability, and we need the Fed to give its input
