Dow Futures Opening Update as on 15 June. 2020

U.S. stock  lower in pre-market trading for,June 15.The Dow Futures is trading at 24,752.00 with a loss of -2.54% percent or -646.00 point.The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,957.62 with a loss of -2.19% percent or -66.13 point. The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 9,473.25  with a loss of -1.65% percent or -159.00 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at at 21,530.95  with a loss of –3.47% percent or –774.53 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 23,776.95 with a loss of –2.16% percent or –524.43 point. China’s Shanghai  Composite is trading at 2,890.03  with a loss of –1.02% percent or –29.71 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 33,274.02 with a loss of -1.50% percent or –506.87 point at 12:15 PM.Germany’s DAX is trading at 11,800.86 with a loss of –1.24% percent or -148.42 point. France’s CAC 40 is trading at 4,782.39 with a loss of –1.18% percent or –56.87  point. The Stoxx Europe 600 is trading at 350.93 with a loss of -0.88% percent or ?3.13 point.

Monday’s Factors and Events

The early action in futures markets followed a big pullback last week triggered by rising fears of a resurgence in the virus as well as investors’ profit-taking after the massive comeback.

The Dow and S&P 500 lost 5.5% and 4.7% last week, respectively, while the Nasdaq shed 2.3%. All three major equity benchmarks suffered their worst week since March 20.

Friday Activity

For the day the Dow is trading at 25,605.54 up with +1.90% percent or +477.37 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 3,041.31 up with +1.31% percent or +39.21 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 9,588.81 up with +1.01% percent or +96.08  point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,387.68 up with +2.32% percent or +31.46 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 812.49  up with +2.55% percent or +20.24 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,759.91 up with +2.05% percent or +35.29 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,393.26 up with +1.20% percent or +16.47  point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,771.06 up with 1.39% percent or +24.36  point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,682.92 up with +1.34% or +22.22 point.
