Dow Futures Opening Update as on 01 august 2017

U.S. stock futures are lower in pre-market trading for Tuesday, August 01. The Dow Futures are trading at 21,937.00 for up with +0.43% percent or +95.00 point. The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,472.00 for up with +0.16% percent or +4.00 point.The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 5,899.38 for up with +0.29% percent or +16.88 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 19,985.79 for up with +0.30% percent or  +60.61 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 27,516.95 for up with +0.76% percent or +208.07 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,288.86 for up with +0.48% percent or +15.83 point. India’s S&P BSE Sensex are trading at 32,531.21 with a loss of +0.05% percent or +16.27 point at 12:15 PM . In Europe, the FTSE 100 are trading at 7,413.67 for up with +0.57% percent or +41.67 point. Germany’s DAX are trading at 12,159.91 for up with +0.34% percent or +41.66 point. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,110.37 for up with +0.33% percent or +16.61 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 are trading at 378.71 for up with +0.82 percent or +1.35 point.

Tuesday’s Factors and Events

Dow futures rose 102 points, putting the 30-stock index ever closer to the elusive 22,000 milestone. S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 futures, meanwhile, rose 5.75 points and 20.75 points, respectively.

The major indexes posted sharp gains for the month of July. The Dow rose 2.54 percent in the period, marking its best one-month performance since February. Shares of Boeing contributed the lions share of the gains, adding more than 300 points to the index.

The S&P 500 also posted its best monthly gain since February last month, advancing 1.93 percent as all 11 sectors were positive in July. The Nasdaq composite outperformed last month, gaining 3.38 percent.

For the day the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 21,891.12 for up with +0.28% percent or +60.81 point.The S&P 500 closed at 2,470.30 with a loss of –0.07% percent or –1.80 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,348.12 with a loss of –0.42% percent or –26.55 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,425.14 with a loss of -0.29% percent or -4.12 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 863.62 with a loss of –0.16% percent or –1.38 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,760.68 with a loss of –0.09% percent or –1.66 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,088.94 with a loss of -0.05% percent or –0.59 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,462.32 with a loss of –0.09% percent or –1.31 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,368.57 with a loss of –0.07% percent or –1.01 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 21,891.12 for up with +0.28% percent or +60.81 point.
