Dow Futures Opening Update as on 02 august 2017

U.S. stock futures are lower in pre-market trading for Wednesday, August 02. The Dow Futures are trading at 21,941.50 for up with +0.17% percent or +37.50 point.The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,473.12 for up with +0.04% percent or +0.87 point.The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 5,932.62 for up with +0.74% percent or +43.37 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 20,080.04 for up with +0.47% percent or +94.25 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 27,701.53 for up with +0.59% percent or +161.30 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,285.06 with a loss of 0.23% percent or –7.58 point. India’s S&P BSE Sensex are trading at 32,545.06 with a loss of  –0.09% percent or  –30.11 point at 12:15 PM. In Europe, the FTSE 100 are trading at 7,393.57 with a loss of –0.41% percent or –30.09 point. Germany’s DAX are trading at 12,222.67  with a loss of –0.23% percent or –28.62 point. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,110.37  with a loss of –0.11% percent or –5.69 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 are trading at 379.49 with a loss of -0.21% percent or -0.83 point.

Wednesday’s Factors and Events

U.S. stock index futures pointed to a higher open on Wednesday with the Dow Jones industrial average on track to reach another milestone.
The index received a boost from shares of Apple, which rose 5.6 percent after the company posted quarterly results that blew expectations out of the water.

Once more, investors will closely monitor new earnings reports and data releases. Mondelez, Cardinal Health, Humana, Restaurant Brands and Groupon are due to report before the bell. AIG, Occidental Petroleum, Tesla and the Cheesecake Factory will report after the bell.

In terms of data, there will be mortgage applications at 0700 EST time, ADP employment figures at 0815 EST time and oil inventories at 1030 EST time. Two Federal Reserve members are due to speak at 1100 and 1530 EST time.
