U.S. stock futures are lower in pre-market trading for Friday, August 25.The Dow Futures are trading at 21,828.50 for up with +0.20% percent or +42.50 point. The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,447.00 for up with +0.26% percent or +6.25 point. The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 5,859.75 for up with +0.33% percent or +19.25 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 19,452.61 for up with +0.51% percent or +98.84 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 27,814.53 for up with +1.08% percent or +295.93 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,329.32 for up with +1.77% percent or +57.81 point. India’s S&P BSE Sensex are trading at 31,596.06 for up with +0.09% percent or +28.05 point at 12:15 PM. In Europe, The FTSE 100 are trading at 7,435.71 for up with +0.39% percent or +28.65 point. Germany’s DAX are trading at 12,221.55 for up with +0.33% percent or +40.72 point. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,127.10 for up with +00.27% percent or +13.98 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 are trading at 375.80 for up with +0.34% percent or +1.29 point.

Friday’s Factors and Events

Friday marks the second day of the 2017 Economic Policy Symposium on “Fostering a Dynamic Global Economy” at Jackson Hole, where leading central bankers are meeting.

As part of this three-day event, both Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen and European Central Bank President Mario Draghi are both set to deliver remarks on Friday at the symposium, with investors watching the event closely for any indications when it comes to the outlook of each central bank’s monetary policy program.

In data news on Friday, durable goods is set to come out at 8.30 a.m. ET, while on the earnings front, Big Lots is set to report its latest figures before the bell.
