Dow Futures Opening Update as on 28 November 2017

U.S. stock futures are higher in pre-market trading for Friday, November 28. The Dow Futures are trading at 23,599.50 for up  with +0.16% percent or +37.50 point. The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,603.75 for up with +0.08% percent or +2.00 point.The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 6,417.38 for up with +0.06% percent or +4.13 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 22,486.24  with a loss of  –0.04% percent or  –9.75 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 29,680.85 with a loss of –0.02% percent or  –5.34 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,333.66 for up with +0.34 percent or  +11.43 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 33,618.59 for up with +0.31% percent or +105.85 point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 are trading at 7,432.52 for up with  +0.66% percent or +48.62 point. Germany’s DAX are trading at 13,041.65 for up with +0.32% percent or +41.45 point. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,390.26 for up with +0.56% percent or +30.18 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 are trading at 386.63 for up with +0.46% percent or  +1.80 point.

Tuesday’s Factors and Events

U.S. stock index futures pointed to a slightly higher open Tuesday.

A slew of data releases are set to keep investors on their feet. First off, advance economic indicators are due out at 8:30 a.m. ET, followed by the S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Indices and Federal Housing Finance Agency house price index data at 9 a.m. ET.

At 10 a.m. ET, consumer confidence and the Richmond Fed survey of manufacturing activity are due out, which will then be followed by the Dallas Fed’s Texas services sector outlook survey at 10:30 a.m. ET.

 On the earnings front, Momo, Autodesk and Pure Storage are some of the companies set to publish their latest financial figures.

Monday’s Activity

U.S. market were lower on Monday. For the day the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 23,580.78 for up with +0.10% percent or +22.79 point. The S&P 500 closed at 2,601.42 with a loss of -0.04% percent or –1.00 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,878.52  with a loss of –0.15% percent or –10.64 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,513.31 with a loss of  -0.39%  percent or -5.85 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 922.18 with a loss of 0.55% percent or 5.07 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,856.11 with a loss of -0.17% percent or  -3.08 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,147.11 for up with  +0.01% percent or +0.13 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,542.29 with a loss of  –0.09% percent or –1.46 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,442.57 with a loss of –0.07% percent or –1.02 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 23,580.78 for up with +0.10% percent or +22.79 point.
