Dow Futures Opening Update as on 27 September 2018

U.S. stock futures higher  in pre-market trading for Thursday, September 27.The Dow Futures is trading at 26,435.00  up with  +0.06% percent or  +16.00 point.The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,914.75  up with  +0.11% percent or +3.25 point.The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 7,610.75  up with  +0.28% percent or +21.50 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 23,796.74 with  a loss of -0.99% percent or -237.05 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 27,709.19 with a loss of -0.39% percent or  -107.68 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,789.39  with a loss of -0.62% percent or  -17.42 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 36,423.26 with  a loss of -0.33% percent or -119.01 point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 is trading at 7,526.58 up with +0.20% percent or +15.09 point. Germany’s DAX is trading at 12,368.57 with a loss of – 0.14% percent or -17.32 point. France’s CAC 40 is trading at 5,510.25   with a loss of -0.045% percent or  -2.48 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 is trading at 384.41   with a loss of  -0.16% percent or -0.63  point.

Thursday’s Factors and Events

President Donald Trump accused China of intending to interfere in November’s congressional elections. He added, without providing evidence, that Beijing didn’t want the Republican party to perform well. This prompted an immediate rejection from the Chinese government, which said it didn’t intrude on another country’s domestic matters, Reuters reported.

Elsewhere, Trump criticized Canada for the slow pace of discussions concerning the overhaul of NAFTA.

In data, jobless claims, durable goods, and advanced economic indicators are due out at 8:30 a.m. ET. At the same time, another reading of real gross domestic product (GDP) data will be published. At 10 a.m. ET, pending home sales are due, followed by the Kansas City Fed’s Manufacturing survey at 11 a.m. ET.
